A 20 minutes video called "Connected, but Alone?" by sherry Turkle describes the impact technology in today society. As I listen to her, I recalled my own experience with technology and how it impacted me. Technology claims to help people connect with each other in a easier manner. However, if use incorrectly, it can turn against you. It can distance your relationship with people and disconnect from the world. Texting can not compare to having a conversation. Face to face conversation is much more genuine and you are closer to them. You can not send emotion via texing. Texting when using too much is a harm, it hurt your communication skill. Turkle said " texting or using a device filled the void of you being alone" , once I heard this, I remembered just the other day that I instantly reach for my phone at the bus station when I was alone because I did not want to have that "Alone" feeling. This do need to change, you have to take advantage of this technology, not letting it control you.

RB Frank Gore is going to Colts

The Franchise running back for the San Francisco 49ers was testing the free agent water this off season. He got many interests from teams all around due to his impressive career stats. During his stint with the 49ers he recorded 2,442 rush with 11,073 yards plus 64 touchdown. I thought that the 49ers with for sure go after Gore but there have something else in mind. It seem that the 49ers wants to build their rookie running back Carlos Hyde and Kendall Hunter. This is a big loss. However, I believe that the Colt has made a terrible mistake. The Indianapolis Colt sign Gore to a 3 years and 12 million dollars with 8.5 guaranteed. This is a mistake because Gore is turning 32 and it's never a good idea to sign a old running back for 3 years. It's very rare to have a guy as explosive as Gore continuing to have the same productivity that he had recent years. Although, I am sad that gore is gone, this is a bad signing for Colts.
